After Views
The flat ceiling was removed to reveal a sloped, higher ceiling, made possible by the existing structural scissor trusses. A bay window replaced the old north-facing window in order to catch the light from the east and west. A large island, new flooring, cabinets, appliances and granite countertops finished off the design.

A wall was removed between the existing laundry and pantry rooms, making it possible to eliminate a door into the kitchen, which created more usable wall space in both rooms. The new laundry/pantry is more efficient bringing natural light into both spaces. Several different lighting effects complete with dimmers, adds ambiance and versatility to the project.
